Barriemore Barlow and Steve Tassler

Jethro Tull were a revolutionary band in the 1970s pushing boundaries in every direction - Tull drummer Barriemore Barlow played a blue Vistalite kit for much of the 1970s. On the "Too Old to Rock and Roll, Too Young to Die" tour the Tull were supported by a band called Starcastle which featured drummer Steve Tassler who also played blue Vistalites. Steve has been in touch with VISTALITES.COM and has sent a superb on-stage photo showing Barriemore Barlow's kit set up behind Steve's.

This photo - taken during the Jethro Tull set that night - shows Barriemore Barlow playing his Vistalite kit, complete with table lamp.

Steve looks back on these days with fondness, saying that Jethro Tull were "the most gracious and professional band we encountered in all the years of playing".
